A note from the Area Director
Greetings from Kenya.
I got word today from our Nashville Office about your goal to pack 500 In-home care kits.
I am the BGR director for Sub-Saharan Africa and we used the 1400 kits that were packed last year in the pilot project. I just wanted to write to say thank you for your vision and support of this project. I have been in many homes where kits were used by in-home care givers , homes where the patient was living in extreme poverty, dying with full blown AIDS and the kits make a huge difference in their lives.
The items in the kits ease their suffering and receiving a kit lets the one sick know they have not been forgotten. The kits encourage the in-home care givers who volunteer their time but have little to no resources to use in their ministry. It allows a physical touch from our Lord to be given to one who needs that physical help and allows that touch to move from the USA to Africa in a very real and practical way. Your goal of 500 just blows our minds and we praise God for your help.

I have included a picture of an in-home care worker going into a home of a person who actually died a few weeks later. She is carrying a kit and a food packet that BGR also provides. The kits you help pack will be used in this same way in many locations in Sub-Saharan Africa.
