Prison Library

A team of volunteers goes each Monday evening to I.W. Davis Probation Detention Center in Jefferson, Ga. The library has over 2,000 books available to the inmates. Average checkout is about 200 per week. Volunteers also take prayer requests and provide greeting cards and Bibles. We had 25 inmates to make professions of faith in 2006. The Lord continues to bless this ministry weekly.

Hebron Writers of Light

Writers and potential writers meet to encourage one another, share ideas, and learn more about writing. They meet the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month from 6:30 – 8:00 PM in the conference room in Building B. Anyone interested in joining the group call 770.962.3671 ext. 285.

esl (English as a Second Language) classes

Classes meet Wednesday mornings and Wednesday evenings September thru May.  Beginner, intermediate and advanced classes are available.  Each week our teachers work with their students to help them improve their English skills.  Bible verses, songs, devotions and snacks are shared during the large group time.  Students may enroll any week.  Classes are free. Textbooks may be purchased in class. Free Childcare is available.

2008-2009 ESL Session Begins September 8.

Classes are 10:00 am-12:00 pm and 6:30-8:30 pm   No pre-registration is required. Call 770-962-3671 Ext. 285 for more information.

ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE (ESL) Leader Training

No other language other than English needed. We need more teachers, evaluators and assistants to help with refreshments, group time, etc.
