guest services bullet   Arts

Whether it's performing, creating, communicating or even on the technical side, the opportunities are many. Like to express yourself either in front of an audience or behind the scenes? You will want to check this out.
Creative & performing arts
  • Worship Choir: Lead our church in whole-hearted worship of the Lord. Music knowledge is not required. Rehearsals are 6:45-8:00 pm on Wednesday nights.
  • Worship Orchestra: Help lead in worship, provide music for services and special events. Average high school or better playing ability is desired. Rehearsals are 6:45-8:00 pm on Wednesday nights.
Communication arts
  • Writers of Light: Encourage and share writing skills with others who desire to use their writing gifts in Christian ministry; including adults and or aspiring youth writers age twelve and up.
Technical arts
  • Audio for Video Operator: Responsible for mixes heard on video recordings, tape recordings and throughout the Worship Center. Audio experience is helpful.
  • Photographer/Videographer: Responsible for taking photographs/video for various church events. Good camera/video skills are required; however, you need not be a professional.
  • House Sound System Operator: Responsible for controlling all aspects of sound for the Worship Center and execute equipment setups. Experience is helpful.
  • Video Projection Operator: Responsible for video projection prior to services and for control of projection during worship service. Training will be provided.
  • House Lighting Operator: Responsible for executing cues on a computerized light console, making adjustments to the Worship Center lighting level during Sunday morning worship services and for special events. Training will be provided.
  • Camera Operator: Operate a TV camera for Sunday morning worship services and other special events. Training will be provided.
  • Stage Monitor System Operator: Responsible for controlling all aspects of sound for the monitors on the platform and for the distribution and collection of microphones for each service. Previous experience encouraged, but training will be provided.
  • Choir Words Operator: Responsible for projection of words for choir. A musical background is helpful, but training will be provided.
  • Student Media Team: With primary focus of creating a worshipful atmosphere and enhancing teaching, the media team volunteers are trained to operate video, audio, and/or lighting for any of the Student Ministry services (Wednesday night or Sunday morning) and/or special events.
  • Mid-Week Worship Technical Assistant: Responsible for preparing the sound system and video projector for the Wednesday evening mid-week service and operate the sound/video equipment during worship time; operate the microphones during the music and teaching.

Grounds care
  • Landscaping/Gardening/Grounds Maintenance: Help with grass cutting, edging, pruning, planting, mulching and other miscellaneous jobs pertaining to the upkeep of the grounds.
Maintenance/repair
  • Carpentry, Electrical, General Maintenance, Painting, Plumbing: Choose from a variety of needs such as carpentry, heating and air, machine repair, furniture repair and general maintenance. Basic knowledge or skills in the chosen area of service is helpful.
Facilities care
  • Restocking Seat Backs in Worship Center: Work with a team to restock all materials that are located on the seat backs. You are assigned an area that you will service each week.
Special events
  • Host/Hostess: Assist in serving food and beverages and monitoring food tables during special dining events on campus.

Want to help someone have a better tomorrow? Here's how.
Health Clinic
  • Grant Writer: Write grants for non-profit Health Clinic in Lawrenceville. Experience in writing and researching grants is required.
  • Doctors, Nurses, Dental Assistants: Doctors and nurses rotate during our health clinic nights, first and third Tuesday of each month, 6:00-8:00 pm. Dental assistants rotate first and third Thursday of each month, 6:00-8:30 pm.
Community Service Teams
  • Car Care Ministry: Provide basic car care seven Saturdays a year from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, to single women, widows and the elderly.
  • Nehemiah Ministry (Handyman): Assist with home repairs for the elderly, homebound or single moms in our church or community.
  • Nursing Homes: Visit Hebron members at nursing homes or who are homebound.
  • Schools: Help with school events directly related to Hebron, such as staff breakfasts provided by Hebron, school events on our campus and Impact Bible Clubs.
  • Sports Chaplaincy Ministry: Lead team devotions and build relationships at local high schools along with providing support during games. We will train you, help you connect to a team and assist in resourcing the ongoing team ministry.
Celebrate Recovery/Support Groups
  • Open Share Leader: Share what you have received from the recovery process. Lead a gender-specific and issue-specific group. You must have twelve-step recovery experience.
  • Step Study Leader: Share the hope and transforming power of Jesus Christ that you have found through the Celebrate Recovery Ministry. You must have completed the twelve-step study.
  • Group Facilitators: (The Landing, The Big D, Celebration Place, DivorceCare, DivorceCare for Kids and Grief Share): Help kids, teens and adults who are having trouble dealing with life crisis. Training will be provided.
  • Cancer Support Group Team Member: Groups are for men and women who have been affected by any type of cancer. Members help facilitate meetings and assist with the needs of group members during and after treatments.
  • Cancer Support Group Encouragers: Send cards and make phone calls to those going through cancer treatments.

Sundays
  • Campus Guides: Escort people from various Welcome Centers located throughout the campus to Connect Group classes.
  • Parking Ministry: Welcome, assist and find parking/drop-off spaces for those attending worship services/functions. Men serve on a rotating basis beginning at 9:00 AM on Sunday mornings and assist until 11:00 AM. A Parking Ministry Connect Group meets in the gazebo at 11:00 AM.
  • Welcome Center Attendants (Preschool, Children and Students): Assist guests and members in finding Sunday school/Connect Group classes, locate sign-ups and registrations, give general information at Welcome Centers located throughout the campus.
  • Ushers: Welcome, assist and seat those attending worship services weekly for Sunday morning.
  • Decision Counselors: Counsel and encourage those who come forward after services for spiritual decisions or prayer.
  • Greeters Sunday Morning (All Areas) and Special Events (Church/Community): Greet visitors and members on Sunday mornings or at special events. This requires a flexible time commitment.
Wednesday night
  • Greeter Wednesday Night: Greet families as they come to Awana.
Weekly
  • Telephone Team: Call new members to welcome them to Hebron.

  • General Office: Filing, copying, laminating, book binding and more.

Teachers
  • Adult Connect Group Lead Teachers, Assistants, Substitutes: Teach the Word of God on Sunday morning and lead your class in ministry to others and reaching the unchurched.
  • College Ministry: Teach the Word of God on Sunday morning and lead your class to minister to others and reach the unchurched.
  • Weekly Bible Study Leaders: Teach a class for spiritual growth, information, or skill development.
  • English as a Second Language: Help students learn to speak and/or improve English and learn American culture. Completion of a basic ESL workshop or its equivalent is required.
  • Citizenship Class: Assist people with completing applications and studying for American citizenship.
Prayer support
  • Ladies Prayer Chain: Pray for the immediate prayer needs that are called or sent into the church each day.
General support
  • Interpreters for the Deaf: Interpret for the deaf at Sunday morning services and other events that need interpreters.
  • Baptism Team: Provide assistance and direction to those coming to be baptized. Serve on a rotating schedule.
  • First Aid Team: Provide first aid services during Hebron's worship services and other church-wide events. Orientation is required.
  • Lord's Supper Volunteer: Assist with set-up and clean-up for the Lord's Supper two to three times a year.
  • Correspondence Team: Send cards to one or more persons that are homebound or are living in health care facilities.
  • Event Registration Team: Assist with ticket sales/registration for church events Sunday mornings before and after services, as needed.
  • Shuttle Drivers: Provide transportation to and from off-campus parking on Sundays and special events. A CDL with passenger endorsement is required.
  • Seamstresses or Tailors: Create costumes/set decoration for special programs.

From Sunday mornings to Wednesday nights to special events, there are children and students of all ages to love, encourage and equip.  Want to be a part of it?

  • Connect Group Teacher/Assistant Teacher, Preschool Substitutes/Rotational Teacher: Provide quality biblical teaching for our preschoolers.  Conduct outreach with assistant teacher's help (postcards, emails, phone calls, and home visits). Attend a two-hour Preschool basic training. Works as part of a team.
  • Helping Hands: Help the Connect Group teachers by comforting a child, reading a Bible story or playing with the little ones for approximately one hour and fifteen minutes (no planning needed).
  • Wednesday PM: Teacher/Assistant Teacher (Babies, 1s and 2s): Provide quality biblical teaching for our preschoolers.  Conduct outreach with assistant teacher's help (postcards, emails, phone calls, and home visits). Attend a two-hour Preschool basic training.
  • Storytime Leader: Share stories with children on a regular basis with two- to five-year-old children in the Hebron Weekday Preschool classes.
  • Awana Cubbies Leader (3 & 4 year olds): Provide quality biblical teaching and care for our preschoolers. A two-hour Cubbies/Preschool basic training class is required.
  • Awana Cubbies Listener: Listen to children as they recite their memory verses each week, record in each child’s book.
  • Awana Cubbies Puppeteer: Operate puppets during story time each Wednesday.

  • Sunday AM Connect Group Teacher/Assistant Teacher: Guide a group of children in Bible study, learning activities, outreach and class ministry.  Work as part of a team.
  • Special Needs Teacher: Teach God’s Word to special needs children, as part of a team; deals with various needs, various ages.
  • Children's Worship Leader: Lead or assist worship in our children's church environments, K2 Way (Grades K-2) and Lot 35 (Grades 3-5): Game times, scripture memory activities, song leading, lesson teaching. Work as part of a Worship Team.
  • Celebration Place Leader: Spend time with children who are coping with crises or trauma in the home such as divorce, death, alcohol and drug abuse, etc.
Awana Leaders, Listeners, Secretaries
  • Awana Leader: Be responsible for running a color team of a particular club.  A one time basic training required.
  • Listener: Listen to and sign off on verses children memorize, explain verses they don’t understand. Materials will be provided to help you explain.
  • Secretary: Keep club records on Wednesday night, including attendance, awards and supplies.
Bus Ministry
  • Driver for Sunday AM: Drive bus to pick up children for church on Sundays. A CDL license with passenger endorsement is required.
  • Assistant/Secretary: Responsible for keeping attendance on a bus route and keep up with name tags/labels for all riders.
  • Children’s Escort: Assist in delivering children from buses to their classrooms.  When needed, assist in returning children from their classroom to the buses. (Thirty minutes per week.)
  • Bus Captain: Responsible for riders on the bus. The Captain must be good with kids and teens and be able to handle discipline problems from time to time. Time commitment: Sundays, 8:00 AM-1:30 PM every other Sunday.
Choirs
  • Class Directors/Helpers: Be in charge and carry out weekly rehearsals for each choir. Musical background is needed for Class Director, but does not have to be extensive. Helper will assist the director and musical background is not required..
  • Secretary: Keep weekly records and relay communication between staff and parents/kids.  No musical background is needed.
  • Set Design/Props Assistant: Assist the Set Designer with prop and backdrop creation for the musicals.
  • Choreographers: Teach a small group of children either pre-designed choreography or design a routine for a particular song.  Some dance, drill team, cheerleading, etc. background is very helpful, but not required.

  • Sunday Morning Teachers/Co-Teachers: Teach, equip, and affirm students each Sunday during one of our Connect Group hours.
  • Wednesday Night Workers, Greeters, Welcome Center: Welcome visitors to Student Ministry meeting locations and help them find their way around if needed and/or be stationed at various locations to greet guests.
  • Event Staff: Serve as a counselor, leader or host home for student events, such as DiscipleNow or camp.
  • Sports Chaplaincy Ministry: Lead team devotions and build relationships at local high schools and provide support during games. We will train you, help you connect to a team and assist in resourcing the ongoing team ministry.
